X-Rite is pleased to announce a new, consolidated high-end profile creation software portfolio - at an outstanding new price point - simplifying the purchasing decision for our mutual customers.

Effective June 1, 2009, X-Rite will be streamlining the various product options within the ProfileMaker 5 and MonacoPROFILER product families to a simple, comprehensive offering within each software family - ProfileMaker 5 Platinum and MonacoPROFILER Platinum. Now our broad spectrum of customers can easily choose an all-in-one solution at the right price to meet their needs.

Customers will also be able to purchase newly priced software and hardware bundles with our award-winning i1® Solutions or i1iSis automated chart readers to speed their workflow and enhance their abilities to print to ISO Standards using G7 or Fogra.  Of course they can add an i1iSis or an i1iO automated chart reader at a later date as their needs change to include, among other benefits, Optical Brightening Compensation or measurability of thicker/non-traditional substrates – creating an additional follow up sales opportunity.

Also effective June 1, 2009, we will be retiring a number of product packages and modules (outlined in the addendum below) in order to fully consolidate the profiling software product portfolio.

X-Rite’s Optical Brightening Compensation (OBC) module is the only solution available on the market that can effectively correct for color shifts in custom ICC output profiles caused by optical brightening agents used in paper-based substrates. Available for both ProfileMaker 5 and MonacoPROFILER, OBC provides a scientific correction to measurements, rather than a visual simulation that is not reproducible in your proof.

ProfileMaker 5’s Multicolor plug-in for Adobe® Photoshop™  - now included in the new PM5 Platinum - makes color separations and proofing a breeze. PM5 Packaging, which also includes the aNy-Color module, allows for unprecedented consistency in N-color profiling giving he customer the option to work with RGB, CMYK, CMYK+X or true N-color without CMYK as part of a packaging workflow. Our outstanding Generic Output Profile (GoP) technology allows you to easily swap colors from an existing press profile without having to run new test charts – saving you valuable time and money. Our new pricing structure allows customers to take advantage of these benefits at previously unheard of price points!
